Magnesium Sulphate Anhydrous is an inorganic salt which is most commonly used in breweries and as a coagulant for making tofu. It has molecular formula MgSO4 with a molar mass of 120.366 g/mol and density of 2.66 g/cm3. This compound is also used in the agricultural industry for increasing content of magnesium & sulfate in soil by foliar feeding. It appears as white crystalline solid with a melting point of 1124 degrees Celsius. Magnesium Sulphate Anhydrous is water soluble in nature and has a role to play as a desiccant in organic synthesis. It is also used in the medical industry as saline laxative and bronchodilator.
